First Post and Thoughts
Welcome to my newly created website and blog!
Hello world!
There. With that out of the way, hi! I'm Logan, and the thumbnail is my cat Buddy. I created this site to learn a new webdev framework, Next.js, and to finally have a place to write blog posts and share more about my projects. I also have a few ideas for how to make it a bit more interactive and fun.
What's Next?
(Pun intended.)
I plan to share most of my projects soon, including previously unshared ones. With that I will hopefully be open-sourcing more of my work and sharing more about my research. I also would like to make the project page formatting more unique, with a sidebar with more details such as the tech stack, individual/with others, etc.
The blog will get a few more posts in the next few weeks, including a write-up of how to get started with car hacking and playing with the CAN bus. I may also share my experience with IoT devices and cellular connections, but that may be later with the release of my remote monitoring/control project for my car. Still looking for a better (while still cheap) solution for dual CAN bus and GMLAN as currently I can only do one or the other.
A few interactive features I want to add include:
- A public whiteboard
- A few games
- My chess AI from freshman year of college (rewritten in JavaScript), and along with it chess (maybe train an AI off my games? That could be fun, but make it a bit too easy for my opponents to train...)
- Achievement system (credit to Maisy for the idea)
- Silly Easter eggs (or are there already some? 👀)
Thanks for Visiting!
